Clear information, used for a clear purpose.

What the project brief collects

The guided brief asks for your name, email, optional contact and organisation details, location, industry, desired outcome, current workflow, relevant systems, known constraints and preferred timing. It also records the page and campaign parameters that led to the enquiry. It does not store the anti-spam field, form-start time or raw client network identifier with the lead.

Why it is used

The information is used to assess fit, identify the most useful next step, contact you about the enquiry and avoid asking you to repeat the same project facts. It is not sold. Marketing messages require a separate choice; submitting a project brief alone does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Storage, access and retention

Enquiries are stored in access-controlled application infrastructure and may be processed by providers used for hosting and business email. Access is limited to people who need it to respond or deliver the requested work. Enquiries that do not become an active commercial relationship are reviewed for deletion within 12 months. Legal, security or active-project records may be kept for longer where reasonably required.

Your choices

You can ask what enquiry information is held, request a correction, or ask for deletion where there is no overriding legal or security reason to retain it. Email me@jackhales.com. Avoid putting passwords, API keys, health records or other highly sensitive material in the public project brief.

Website measurement

With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and guides are useful, the broad source of a visit, and general device, browser and approximate location information. The Analytics tag is not loaded before you choose “Allow site analytics”. If you later decline, Analytics collection is disabled and its first-party cookies are removed. Declining does not affect your use of the site, and you can reopen “Analytics choices” at any time to change that decision.

Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled. Names, email addresses, project-brief answers and other directly identifying form content are not sent to Google Analytics. Google processes permitted measurement data as a service provider; see Google’s privacy policy for more information.
